Professional Development and Training

Uffculme School has a reputation for providing quality training to colleagues in mainstream and special school settings both at local and national levels. Our expertise in ASD and related issues is based on daily working with a school population all of whom has a diagnosis of autism.

We have developed a large number of autism specific resources in order to meet the unique needs of our pupils. These include innovative assessments and corresponding programmes in the following areas:

Autistic Spectrum Disorders – teaching and learning
Augmentative communication
Language and communication
Early literacy (P3-P8)
Early numeracy (P3-P8)
Toileting
Behaviour management

These resources (assessments and programmes) are available as part of our training packages. We deliver training to individual staff as well as work with whole schools in Birmingham and around the country. Courses and workshops run on a needs basis.
